Match Report
02 November 2015 / Team News

The U10's make it two wins again this morning.

The second game of the morning was Senghenydd.  We had played them twice before and were defeated both times.  After playing so well against New Tredegar you had to wonder if the boys had the fuel to keep up the performance.

The Dale won the toss and started well with Hudson Mathias having a great run before passing to Jordan way to score, 1-0.  Senghenydd restart, Max Rossiter claims the ball and passes to Oliver Cooke, he gains ground before passing to Thomas Gregory to score, 2-0.   Senghenydd are tackled into touch allowing Dale to gain the ball, William Davey takes the ball and uses his pace to cross the try line, 3-0.  Senghenydd restarted, the Dale claim the ball but possession is short lived with an interception from the visitors.  William Davey tackle Senghenydd into touch, Jordan Way has a good run but the visitors claim the ball from the tackle, it is soon won back and William Morgan ploughs through the defence to score, 4-0.  Senghenydd restart and possession passes between the teams the ball lands with the Dale and Oliver Cooke passes to William Davey who switches direction and finds the try line, 5-0.  The Dale once again claim the ball, both Oliver Cooke and Gabriel Jones have good runs, a hand off gives a penalty against the Dale.  The visitors were unable to use the possession and Jordan Way took the ball and a few of the defence to the try line, they brought him down just short of the try line and the ball went forward giving Senghenydd a scrum.  The ball came out loose of the scrum and rolled over the try line, Logan Taylor was quick to pounce on it and score the try, 6-0.

Half Time Oakdale 6 – Senghenydd 0

Dale start the second half, a hand off gives a penalty to Senghenydd.  The Dale claim the ball back and Max Rossiter crosses the try line, 7-0.  The Dale were alert today and picked up another loose ball, it was passed to Zac Tucker who crossed the white wash, 8-0.  Senghenydd lost possession, the passing and support work by the Dale was outstanding and allowed William Davey to score another hat trick, 9-0.   The Dale respond with another quick try by Thomas Gregory, 10-0.  Senghenydd were quick off the start, they were yards from the try line when Zac Tucker and William Morgan tackled them into touch.  William Davey ran and offloaded, Gabriel Jones took a great ball, he passed to Max Rossiter and into Hudson Mathias who ploughed to the try line to score, 11-0.  We saw another few phases of play with possession passing back and fore, ending with Jordan Way picking up the ball, he passed to Gabriel Jones, he almost found the try line before passing to Thomas Gregory to complete the move and score his hat trick, 12-0.  Senghenydd dropped the ball on the restart, Jordan Way picked the ball up, possession passed to the visitors and then back to the hosts, Oliver Cooke advanced to the try line, he couldn’t find a gap to pass to Thomas Gregory who claimed the last try of the day, 13-0.
