Great game of rugby at the Rec this morning with some nice passing and some excellent running from both sets of players.

With tries coming from Joseph, Tyler and Jacob, Oakdale went into a comanding 4-2 lead and the second half started very well with Brayley scoring an excellent try to finish a very well worked try.

Scoreline 9-2 

After a pulsating first game we then took on the might of Machen who proved to very difficult opposition. The first half started brightly with some excellent tagging by Ruben and Gethin with Rhys coming very close for 'try of the match' where he was tagged just short of the line. However their efforts were rewarded with Pacey getting on the score sheet with some neat footwork to go in at the interval 2-2. With the cold setting in (no excuses), the second half drifted a little from us as we couldnt put passes together with fingers frozen :) Nevertheless we put in an admirable performance to come just short losing 4-6. Congratulations to both sides on a cold morning.

Player of the week went to 'Gethin the taginator' whose workrate for both games was exceptional. Well done.
