The first game saw the Dale host Pontypridd.

The boys were up against a strong Pontypridd side.  The visitors were dominant in the first half. Thomas Gregory scored two tries for the Dale but they trailed 2-7 at half time.  The half time team talk made a difference, the Dale were much more positive in both attack and defence. Two more tries from Thomas Gregory and a great try from Dafydd Price saw us back to 5-7.  Pontypridd scored one try in the second half with Logan Taylor claiming the last try of the game.

Final Score Oakdale 6 - Pontypridd 8.

Second game was against Mountain Ash

Mountain Ash claim the first two tries of the game.  The Dale restart, Dafydd Price was waiting on the wing, the ball was fed out and again he used his pace to speed to the try line to score, 1-2. Mountain Ash respond with a try, 1-3.  Thomas Gregory pushed his way through the defence, he passed to Oliver, spotted Dafydd on the wing, nobody was catching him today, he crossed the try line, 2-3.  The Dale used the touch line to prevent Mountain Ash scoring, Oliver kicked the ball and it was chased by Thomas but he couldn't quite get there and Mountain Ash scored 2-4.  Great teamwork and passing saw the team advance up the field and Thomas Gregory claim the try, 3-4. Mountain Ash scored the last try of the half, 3-5.

The second half started with possession passing back and fore William Davey made some good tackles, Hudson Mathias and James Williams had some good runs, before Mountain Ash scored, 3-6.  The Dale responded with a very quick try from the restart by Thomas Gregory, 4-6.  A great interception was made by Gabriel Jones, he was chased down and possession claimed back by Mountain Ash to score, 4-7.  The last two tries for the Dale were scored by Thomas Gregory.

The boys played as a team and stuck to playing the game in a positive manner.  Well done all!!
