This Sunday the 10’s made their way down the valley to play local rivals Newbridge.

The morning started with all players lining up for to observe a minute’s silence for Remembrance Sunday. 

From the whistle the Dale were determined with quick running and passing by Max Rossiter, William Davey and finally William Morgan to score the first try of the day, 0-1.  Newbridge restart, a tackle by Oliver Cooke causes the ball to go loose, it is scooped up by William Morgan, he passes to William Davey and onto Zac Tucker who weaves through the defenders to take us deeper into the half.  From the tackle the ball is passed to Thomas Gregory to score the try, 2-0.  Newbridge restart, the ball goes forward and the first scrum of the morning is awarded to the Dale, Oliver passes to Thomas and onto Jordan Way, he is penalised and the possession given to Newbridge.  The possession was short lived with Jordan claiming the ball, he passed to Oliver who had a run but couldn’t see a way though so offloaded to Hudson Mathias, Hudson advanced into the hosts half Jordan Way battled on the try line but couldn’t find the gap, he passed to William Morgan who went round the side of the defence to score, 0-3.  Max Rossiter picked up a loose ball from the restart, the ball was passed though the team before landing with Jordan Way to claim the try, 0-4.  Newbridge restart and possession passes back and fore.  The Dale defence were pushing the hosts back towards the try line, the ball is spilled by Newbridge and picked up by William Morgan to score his hat trick, 0-5.  Newbridge restart, Dale are not letting them out of the half and claim the ball, Logan Taylor takes the ball and tries to penetrate the defence, the ball is passed to Dafydd Price who sees space and uses it to score, 0-6.  A loose ball from the restart is picked up by Gabriel Jones he passes to James Williams he has a good run before being tackled.  The ref thought he was in touch, he wasn’t so we restarted with a scrum to Dale.  From the scrum William Davey used speed to gain ground before offloading to Dafydd Price to score a try, 0-7. 

Half Time Newbridge 0  - Oakdale 7

The second half is restarted by the hosts, a knock on gives a scrum to the Dale, William Davey has a run but possession is lost and passes between the teams, Newbridge pick up the ball on the try line and kick it in an attempt to relieve pressure.  Thomas Gregory chase the ball and uses his speed to head back into the half, he passes to Dafydd Price and onto William Morgan to claim the try, 0-8.   Newbridge can’t maintain possession from the restart, Oliver Cooke has a run but is tackled and loses the ball yards from the try line.  Newbridge restart but are taken straight into touch by Max Rossiter.  Max passes the ball to Dafydd Price and he sees the gap and speeds to the try line to make it a hat trick, 0-9.  Newbridge restart, they advance to the try line, Kian Godwin slows them down with a tackle, but they don’t give up and finally find a gap to score their first try of the game, 1-9.  The Dale restart Gabriel Jones runs through the defence but is chased down, the ball goes forward giving a scrum to Newbridge who also knocked the ball on.  Connor Thomas takes the ball from the scrum but is tackled on the whistle.
