Abercarn Darts League 2025/2026 Season General Rules

  • Men only darts league
  • System of play – 5 x singles & 2 x pairs
  • All games must be drawn out
  • Minimum number of players will be four
  • The pitch is 7 foot 9 and a quarter inches
  • An oche must be used at all venues
  • All meetings will be held at Newbridge Labour Club
  • Meetings will commence at 19:30
  • Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month
  • All teams must send a delegate to every meeting, or will be fined £5.00
  • After two meetings these fines will be doubled If a delegate does not attend the last meeting of the season, the team will be fined £20.00
  • All cards to be given to the Secretary no later than the Saturday following Monday’s game. A fine of £2.50 will be charged for cards not received by that deadline.
  • A standing charge of £3.00 will be payable at each meeting.
  • No transfer of players to take place in this league.
  • All new teams to pay £5.00 as an act of good faith.
  • All teams to pay a £5.00 registration fee.
  • A minimum of 24 hours must be given to cancel fixtures. If not cancelled, £20.00 to be paid to the home team for sandwiches.
  • All competitions to commence at 20:00.
  • Every player entering competitions will pay £1.00 per competition.
  • Only the named players to play at venues, no changing of players.
  • All players must be named in each side entered. If no names are provided, they will not be allowed to play in that competition.
  • Only the named players will be allowed to play in the competition finals.
  • Only two county or two super league players (or one of each) allowed, Any team breaking this rule will be deducted ten points.
  • Any team travelling away and then not playing, all taxi costs to be reimbursed to that team by the home team.
  • All trophies to be returned at presentation night or teams will be fined.
