The Club was recently delighted to welcome Tara Williams from the Howdens Insurance group to the Clubhouse to present a commemorative plaque recognising one of Oakdale Rugby Club’s former players who went onto represent the British Lions in the 1959 & 1962 tours to New Zealand & Australia and South Africa, making four appearances. Senior team player, Jaden Morgan recently competed in the Ironman Wales competition in Tenby on the 21st September 2025. A mamouth undertaking with a 2.4 mile (3.8km) swim, a 112 mile (180.2km) cycle finishing off with a 26.2 mile (42.2km) run, Jaden completed the course in an impressive 11 hours and 43 minutes.
